Today I put together an arts and crafts crate to take along when I go out to the Hager’s. Last week when I went out there, I told the kids that I would bring some craft stuff for them to do when I baby sit, and the next time I came over, Meg remembered. She asked me if I brought any craft stuff and I hadn’t!
But now I am prepared! I went to the dollar store, rummaged around in my sewing room, and put together this crate of craft supplies. Those broken old crayons and computer paper sounds awful boring after this!
I tried to put things in containers instead of ziplocks. Ziplocks are nice because you can see through them, but they are slippery, come undone, get holes in them, and don’t last too long when frequent use. I could use a few more containers to put things in–I used rubber bands to hold some things together; we’ll see how long that’s going to work before they get lost.

What’s in the box:
- Markers
- Construction Paper
- Paper cutter
- Craft Foam
- Pipe Cleaners
- Popsicle Sticks
- Needles and Thread
- Clothes Pins
- Tape
- Fabric, ribbons and lace scraps
- Yarn
- Glue
- Scissors
- Elastic Cord
- Beading Needles
- Hemp Cord
- String
- Multi-colored Wood Beads
- Googlely Eyes
- Buttons
- Cloth napkins
- Paint Brushes
- Pencils
- Hole Punch
- Sharpie
- Ruler
- Protractor
I think I am pretty covered to do any craft project! I could use some drawing paper, pastels, watercolors too though.

How fun! Glad you’re putting some of those art supplies to good use. I’m thinking that you “kids” have definately outgrown that”Art Drawer”.
