I am making my dear friend Elisabeth a hood as a late birthday present. Elisabeth’s quite the cold-bodied person (almost as bad as Anna, though she doesn’t complain!) and we have been talking hoods for quite a while and I desided that it was about time to get going on one!
The hood I’m making Elisabeth is based on this hood on the Graceful Lady’s site:
And here is the fabric I am going to make it out of. The pale blue wool is for the outer layer, and the purple and blue changeable silk is the the inside of the brim and for the ties. Oh, and instead of the hood being tied, it will be quilted.
I better get sewing! I told Elisabeth I was going to have it done by this coming event on Saturday, but I am afraid that I may not; the event just came up so fast! I also need to fix the hem of my dress too, so we’ll see how having time to sew this week goes.
